Magellan Health is in the process of moving Provider accessible applications from the existing legacy authentication and authorization services to the more robust and secure Okta platform. We will be migrating the secure applications on a State/Client basis as the agencies are ready. The overall effort will be staggered and the migrations will be announced in the list at the bottom of this notice. Once a State has been moved, users will be required to have an active Okta account to access Provider applications and data. Users will be required to move their existing user accounts with the provided self-migration tool once the State has migrated.

PROVIDER APPLICATIONS THAT HAVE MIGRATED TO OKTA (effective the date indicated):
8/30/2022 - South Carolina, Idaho, Nebraska

MIGRATION PROCESS FOR EXISTING LEGACY ACCOUNT USERS

The tool is a 4 step process that will:
• require you to authenticate your existing legacy user ID and password to begin the process
• display your existing account details in read-only mode for your review after successful authentication
• provide a method to create a new Okta user access ID and password
• copy all existing permissions and set up from the legacy account into the new Okta account

To access the Legacy Self-Migration tool enter the following URL in your web browser: (https://uac.magellanrx.com/migrate).

REQUESTING NEW PROVIDER APPLICATION ACCESS

If you do not have any existing legacy accounts and require access to Provider applications, you can make that request in Okta by accessing the UAC Home page (https://uac.magellanrx.com) and completing the registration process. This entails:
• requesting a PIN(s) for each orgID you wish to have access authority to work on behalf of (select the REGISTER widget and complete the required submission)
note that PIN letters are sent via US Postal Mail as a required part of the security process and may take some time to receive
• registering the orgID/PIN combinations from the letter(s) received and creating new Okta account credentials (select the COMPLETE REGISTRATION widget and complete the Okta account set up process)
• activating the new Okta account by selecting a link that will be sent from the Okta Administration account which verifies your account information
• provisioning your own account with application access and roles; you can also create additional access IDs for your organization if required (standard users) by logging into the UAC Console at (https://uac.magellanrx.com).

IMPORTANT!! If the State program that you perform services for is not in the migration client list below, please continue to utilize the legacy applications and UAC Console (https://uac.fhsc.com). until the State appears in the migration list at the bottom of this notice or you receive communications from Magellan Account Management with specific guidance.
